I received the ZIP file of the new ATLANTIS BETA version. I followed the directions to load the program on my hard drive but the program fails to run. I have downloaded four BETA versions of ATLANTIS before but this is the first one to fail.
The failure gives the following error:
The procedure entry point WnetEnumCachedPasswords could not be located in the dynamic link library MPR.DLL
The reason for this failure maybe because I am using WINDOWS version NT 4.0 with service pack 6.
I went back to my older version and it worked fine.
Atlantis does not use the "mpr.dll" directly. But it is used by the "mapi32.dll". Most probably that you have a wrong version of "mapi32.dll". Please click here for more details: http://www2.arnes.si/~krsava1/NTFAQ.HTM#probsolv27
After replacing the MAPI32.DLL with a newer and smaller version of the "DLL", the ATLANTIS program loaded and worked without a flaw. I am using WINDOWS 4.0 with service pack #6 -but- I copied a MAPI32.DLL that was obtained from another Windows NT 4.0 operating system. The new MAPI32.DLL might be newer then my service pack 6 with it's a version number of 1.0.2536.0 with a date of 7/3/01.
