Outline Function

Post by lipmanaj »

I went to load a MS WORD doc that I had constructed in outline format into Atlantis and found that there is no outline view.

Seems a major feature in that many docs are created in outline format.

Please add an outline function to Atlantis! Ideally it would preserve the original outline formatting of rtf docs so when loading into Atlantis it would keep the outline formatting of these documents.

Thanks!

Adding an outline function to Atlantis, I imagine, would be a thorny ordeal, IF the goal were to be compatible with MS Word-created outlines, as the first person suggested. (That would be great, though! No complaints here.)

If not Word-compatible outlines, surely a basic means of using Headings to denote nesting outline levels (I. A. 1. a. i.) could be added--or offered as a plugin?

Being a fiction writer and relying so much on outlines, I would be thrilled to have my outline(s) open, as a click-away, tabbed doc. // I continue my crusade to make Atlantis the word processor of choice for fiction writers! So, let there be outlines.

An alternative is to use an external outliner - such as Keynote. As far as I can tell, it is the ideal companion for Atlantis. Keynote
