I want to add up a (long) list of supplies.
Can I make columns for item name and price then add the prices column?
I did look at the hot calc but it seems to be about much more sophisticated math.

Add up a column of numbers
If I understand you correctly, things are very simple. Here is a sample document:

Re: Add up a Column of Numbers
Hi, Shan!
Here is from the Atlantis help topic on "Working with Column Blocks":
"Calculate the Sum of a Column of Numbers – hold down the Alt, Ctrl and Shift keys simultaneously, select the column of numbers with the mouse.
If all the numbers from the selected column are valid, their sum will be placed onto the clipboard.
Use the Ctrl+V or Shift+Ins keys to paste the sum to your document."
Note that you should not select the Dollar sign with the numbers.
Cheers,
Robert
