This is a strange problem that has occurred only since I upgraded to version 1.5. I use Atlantis among other things, to make auctions on Ebay, and therefore I need to type long strings of html code WITHOUT any spaces.
In the course of doing this, when I enter a series of code for pictures in which the only thing that changes is the title of the picture, I have my code pre-set so that all I need to do is enter the very small piece that is different for each pic.
But in this new version, I CANNOT get my picture title to paste into place without a space magically appearing in front of it. This is annoying, and I've tried everything I can think of to keep it from happening. But I still have to go back through them and delete each space so that the code will work correctly and bring up the picture. Is there a way I can turn off this "feature"??

I can confirm this behaviour, but can't offer a solution. In my test, the unwanted space xcame up between ">" and ">", so I was able to remove it easily with a global find and replace on the unwanted space.Mandolina wrote: This is a strange problem that has occurred only since I upgraded to version 1.5. This may help, from the Context help in Tools>Options>Edit:
Smart Cut & Paste
When this option is on, Atlantis performs additional operations every time you delete selected text, cut selection to the clipboard, paste the contents of the clipboard, and perform Drag & Drop operations.
The Smart Cut & Paste might delete spare spaces from your document, or insert missing spaces.
Perhaps disabling Smart C&P might help?

Yes, the "Smart Cut & Paste" option (Tools | Options, Edit) might insert new spaces or remove spaces.
You could disable this option.
Alternatively it is possible to adjust the "Smart space management" options (Tools | AutoCorrect Options, the Rules button). "Smart Cut & Paste" uses these "Smart space management" options. You could adjust these "Smart space management" options to fit your own needs. You could specify which characters require a space before or after.

Atlantis always worked in this way.Mandolina wrote: This is a strange problem that has occurred only since I upgraded to version 1.5.
Thanks, I'll try that. I wonder if I had the "smart space management" disabled in my previous version. I don't remember doing that, but that doesn't mean much,
.
BTW, in all other aspects, I like the newer version very much, and don't even own a copy of the dreaded M$Word! My sister uses that, and I've come close to smashing her computer to get rid of that godawful PaperClipMan!

Good idea, Prince. In fact, I think I'll burn it onto a CD for use there, since I will be spending a couple of weeks "granny-sitting" while she goes on vacation.
But I'll pass on the SOUND EFFECTS. I feel pretty nearly the same way about them as I do about the PAPERCLIP monster!!
:D I have disabled all but the warning ones. I prefer the sound of the birds in the trees outside my (rural Wisconsin) window.

Well, I know what you mean. That's the reason why I use at home a sound scheme with only a few sounds of the anime-series "Cowboy Bebop". So I can have some music in the background. Or open my window - I am living in a small place with less traffic.
To impress people - in the office or when I work from CD at my pal's pc - I use "Nature" or a collection of harp sounds and church bells.
