Hi,
I've only just found that Atlantis exists! I turn out a two page monthly newsletter in which I like to put the text into two columns per page, each column being enclosed by its own single black line.
I have trouble at the moment in getting text flowing from one column to the next, as I type, and subsequently make alterations and amendments, without having to mess about.
So, what I would like to do is make a template of a newsletter, with two empty outlined columns per page. Then, when I call it up every month, I'd like to be able to just start typing into the first column, knowing that the text would just carry on spacing itself into each column without further ado on my part.
Is this possible with Atlantis?
Thanks,
Racquet
Text flow into different boxes
Hi Admin,
Thanks for replying. I'm probably not explaining things in the right terminology which is why my needs aren't clear. I'll try again.
I enclose my text with a border - a simple single black line on the outside of my deathly prose. I use a double column on each page, each column with its own border. So, if you looked at one of my newsletters, you'd see two 'boxes', or 'windows', or 'frames', something like the one I'm typing this in now, with my text contained within them. You'd see a small centre margin inbetween the frames.
You'd see my news starting at the top of the first window, carrying on to the end of it, and then going up to the start of the second window. At the bottom of the second window, you'd have to turn over to the start of the third one.
At the moment, I have to draw all four windows, or frames, at the start of each newsletter. I can then type in them. However, my text doesn't automatically jump to the start of the next frame when I've reached the bottom of the previous one.
Moreover, when I edit what I've typed, my words of wisdom do not automatically re-align themselves within the frames to take account of the altered spacing.
So, could Atlantis give me a template with two blank frames on a page, ready for me to type in immediately? And could my text be made to run from one frame to the next without me having to manually fiddle with the spacing?
Hope that's clearer! Thanks again,
Racquet

There might be a problem with terminology.
The present version of Atlantis does not support frames (text boxes).
I might still wrongly understand what you need.
Please take a look at the documents from this zip:
http://www.rssol.com/en/html/atl10_beta ... eaders.zip
Did you ask for something like "Doc90.rtf" from this zip?
"Doc91.rtf" has the same formatting as "Doc90.rtf" but it contains no text. You could simply replace <type text here> with your own text.
