Turning Off AutoCorrect
Can't seem to turn off AutoCorrect. I go to Tools/AutoCorrect Options and unclick the "Autocorrect As You Type" box.
But then when I open up a doc, as soon as I start to type, some words start to appear with a wavy blue underline.
Toggling the Tools/AutoCorrect doesn't seem to help either.
thanks,

Try going to "tools" "options" "spellcheck" and untick the "check spelling as you type" box. Might solve your problem.

Blue wavy underline means that the Spellcheck-as-you-type feature cannot find a spellchecker for the underlined text.
You might need to install the corresponding spellchecker, or disable the Spellcheck-as-you-type feature (as suggested by "sml").
