(but I wanted to include it).
I made a stageplay template for a screenwriting program that I use (Fade In) with the intention of eventually making it available to others and also including it in a book that I am writing. However, the template needed some pages for introductory material (the "preliminary pages", which include information like Cast, Setting, Time, and any helpful Notes).
Preliminary Pages are best created with a word processor, which typically will allow special page numbering with lower-case Roman numerals in a footer. Preliminary Pages have numbering that is not included in the page numbering of the script itself.
So I used Atlantis. I intended to create a PDF of the Preliminary Pages, and then join that PDF with a PDF page from Fade In that would illustrate the style elements of my template. Now for the relevant part.
Relevant Issue
I discovered that a PDF created with the Atlantis PDF generator trims off a pixel or two from the top of text presented in a table. I have included three graphics. These are:
Atlan.RTF.png > It is the original Atlantis text. The font is Courier Prime.
Atlan.PDF.png > The PDF file that Atlantis creates with its own PDF generator.
Atlan.PDF-XChange.png > The PDF file that the commercial program PDF-XChange produces.
Maybe this is something that can be corrected for a future version of Atlantis, which is a wonderful word processor.
