True plain text editing

Post by beesee »

I've noticed that creating a document in either ANSI Plain Text or DOS Plain Text format doesn't actually create true plain text, especially when I want to create a plain document for copying and pasting somewhere else, like in my Yahoo mail. Quotes for instance, use a different font from true plain text and sometimes disappear or get replaced with a control character. Likewise with ellipses (...)

Is there a setting or workaround to fix this, by any chance?

Excellent product, by the way -- fast and very safe...

A plain text file is created when you save your document.
Of course, you can apply any formatting to your plain text document. Atlantis is a word processor not a text editor. You might wish to open a plain text document, apply the desired formatting, then save it as RTF or DOC. Of course, Atlantis could not save this formatting to a TXT file.

Yeah, I knew that I could save it as text and then reopen, but...

It's a minor issue in any case. Thanks for replying.
