Slow Spell checking

Post by 1953 »

The spell checking is very slow whatever setting I use compared to other word processing programs. Is this going to be changed in future releases of Atlantis?
You can control the spellchecking performance through the Spellcheck tab options of the Options dialog (choose the Tools|Options... main menu command).

Is anybody else experiencing slow spell checking? I have changed the settings as suggested but it is very slow compared to word, yeah write and any other program I have tried. This I feel is a great let down as I am wary to use it for checking documents for the length of time it takes to spell check.

If your document was quite long, and the first misspelt word was on the last page, it is normal.

Could you explain the problem with more details?

If i was to spell check the above and (your) was spelt wrong and (quite ) was spelt wrong and maybe (word) also, spell check would take some time to show the misspelled words. I hope I have explained well enough.

Slow spell check

Post by guest »

this is very good. the only faults appear to be the spell check is slow, and because of the typewriter sonds the program can drag, but we can stop using the sounds, they are so pleasaant and not so bad that i choose to keep them. eric sedlack

This was cut and pasted from download.com. I agree with the writer of this remark on Atlantis, the spell check is very slow indeed whatever setting the spell check in on, please can this be rectified in future upgrades.
