I notice that "higlight instances of selected text" sometimes seems to interfere with drag & drop. But only sometimes, and not in specific instances that I can reproduce. Anyone else notice this?
E.g. I select the word "is" because I want to move it to another place in the sentence. Of course the "higlight" feature higlights a large number of these in the text. All fine. But when I click and want to drag "is" to its new place in the sentence, it just doesn't budge.
Weird thing: I select another word in the sentence, drag that around (and after that drag it back too, because it was just to test): that works.
And *now* if I try to select "is" again and drag it away, it does respond.
Is this a buglet? Or some expected behaviour that has a specific reason I'm overlooking?
higlight instances of selected text vs drag & drop

I have just spent about 10 minutes trying to reproduce any faulty behavior of "drag & drop + highlight instances of selected text". But I cannot notice any misbehavior of Atlantis.
Are you sure that the problem is linked to the "highlight instances of selected text" feature? What if you disable it (uncheck the "Highlight instances of selected text" box on the "Edit" tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog)?
What if you launch a test copy of Atlantis with the "factory settings" ("Tools | Factory Settings... > Launch a test copy of Atlantis with factory settings")?

I've just noticed the behaviour again and I think I observe what it is. I double click a word and immediately drag it. I cant... because Atlantis is still counting how many instances of the word there are in the file. (That was why the last time it occurred with "is": there will be a lot of those, so counting takes some time.)
It's true that it doesn't happen all the time. But sometimes. No matter: now I know what's causing it. Seems a logical thing to happen. (And may have to do with the limitations of my system, a fairly old computer in computer terms.)
And yes, I had disabled the feature for a while before I asked my question and this particular lag then never occurred. It seems tied up with the higlighting feature.
It's not very important.

And why I concluded that the two are connected: suppose you take a really large file and select a function word like "the". Then, unless you have a much faster computer than I have, you actually *see* the programme counting instances, you see the number run op by a few leaps until it reaches the definitive count. While it's doing that, trying to drag the selected word won't work, I think. At least in my experience.
So I guess that's all I was talking about. (Plus it sometimes takes longer, for some reason, even with some words that aren't even all that frequent.)
But again, it's not really important.

On my system I can do drag & drop when Atlantis is counting instances.
Please note that if you try to capture the double-clicked text too quickly, this might be treated by Atlantis as a triple-click. Triple-clicking a word, for instance, selects the current paragraph.
What if you select text with the keyboard, then try drag & drop?
