Post by cristofa »

What is the easiest way to sync work I am doing on my laptop with my main desktop machine? I can't find anything about it in help.

You can use the Install To command of Atlantis on your PC to transfer the Atlantis files and settings to a memory stick, then connect the memory stick to your laptop, run Atlantis from the memory stick, and use its "Install To" command to transfer the Atlantis files and settings from the memory stick to the laptop.

You’ll find useful information at the following address:
How to Sync Your Data Across Multiple Devices
You could use the Windows Briefcase feature. See How to Use Windows Briefcase to Move and Synchronize Your Desktop and Laptop Files and How to Enable Briefcase Feature in Windows 10
You could also use the following free software:
FreeCommander
WinMerge
HTH

The best way is to store your files online. Of course, you need Internet access.

I suppose you can still get free storage with Dropbox, up to a certain amount of space. I pay a modest fee for a huge amount of space on Dropbox, though I use only a little more than what you can get for free. I keep almost all my data files in Dropbox. I can then work on a file at my desk or anywhere with my laptop.

The files are on your computer, but the new version is uploaded to the cloud automatically. When you use your other computer, it accesses the new version from the cloud.

It works. I do it all the time.

Dropbox - I use it for backing up - don't know why I didn't think of a more dynamic use - thank you!
