What I've noticed that Atlantis does is after the program has been on your computer for awhile when you close out of it you will see a dialog box come up that asks you if you want to update the program.
This I don't like because when I load my computer with a fresh install of Windows I get everything set up exactly the way I want.
And I rarely download any updates.
There should be a checkbox in Options built-in to the program already that the user can check if he wants Updates.
Instead of this dialog box that presents itself three weeks after you have had it installed.
