This error message is displayed by your Windows not by Atlantis.<br>Windows was not able to find the program you have specified.<br><br>First, please check whether the following file exists:<br><br>"C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe"<br><br>Then specify the following command for your shortcut:<br><br>"C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe" -NoSplash<br><br>Use copy/paste to avoid any typographical errors.

Please specify the correct path to the Atlantis.exe.<br>I do not know which folder you installed it to.<br><br>By the way, you do not have to uninstall the previously installed build of Atlantis to upgrade to a newer build. Just launch the Online Install of Atlantis Ocean Mind.<br><br>The Online Install will do updating itself.

Has anybody got any ideas how to get rid of this so and so splash screen ( why do programers insist on these useless bits of annoyance ) I understand it is my windows at fault ( somehow ) I have followed the instructions to the letter on how to disable this pesky thing. When I right click the desktop icon in the properties box it reads ("C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe\Atlantis.exe" )and I cannot put in NoSplash, it does not work. How can I change it to read ("C:\Program Files\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe")This way I think the splash screen will disappear forever. Thanks <br>

<br><br>I tend to agree, even though Atlantis' spllash screen is one of the nicest I've seen, and the sound makes the title "splash" screen seem very apt. &nbsp;;D

Is there any possibility to change the Splash Screen? Imagine: starting work with your own favourite picture - The birth of the Venus e. g., Mona Lisa, your mother-in-law's face ... 8)

At the moment this is impossible. But who knows - maybe this will be possible in the future...

Well, I did not know before reading these posts that one can remove the so beautifull splash screen... :P<br><br>However, I followed the advice given here and no more splash for me.<br><br>I just added space after the path in shortcut and typed in the dashNoSplash and that was it, no problems. Maybe people get confused by the quotation marks in the advice, especially when it says, 'paste it in exactly as it appears here'<br>This is what I have in my shortcut:<br><br>C:\Programs\Atlantis\Atlantis.exe -NoSplash<br><br>Of course, I installed in 'C:\Programs' folder, handy for those other DOSy programs that require short name path to function. There are still some around.<br><br>Van
Out with it...

You could get the detailed instructions for disabling the splash screen here.

I have followed the instructions for removing the splash screen and it works fine for starting the program with a shortcut icon. However even though I also made the suggested registry change, I cannot get the splash screen to not come up when I open a file I have associated with Atlantis. I am positive that I entered the registry change in the right place but it doesn't work. I use Windows 2000 - is there something else you need to do in Win2000?? Any help would be greatly appreciated since I love the program except for the splash screen.

Atlantis Ocean Mind 1.1.2.5 has a new option: “Show splash screen at startup” (“Tools | Options…”, “General”). This new option allows to disable the splash screen in a much simpler way.
