Shortcut key for "paste as environment"

Post by franklekens »

The shortcut key for "paste as environment" is ALT+CTRL+INS.

Now if one uses the US International keyboard layout (as most every Dutch user does, because it makes it easier to put accents on vowels), the right ALT key (ALT GR) in most cases has the function of combining ALT+CTRL in one key. But for some reason, this doesn't work in this case. So I'd expect ALTGR+INS to be enough to invoke "paste as environment", but that doesn't work. I HAVE to press CTRL *and* ALT (and it HAS to be the left ALT) *and* INS at the same time to use the function.

I'd very much like it if Atlantis was able to recognize the ALTGR as CTRL+ALT. It would also make it possible for me to "paste as environment" with one hand instead of two.

(Also, I'd actually prefer a variation on CTR+V for this function, like CTRL+ALT+V or SHIFT+CTRL+V, as various other programmes do. But possibly too many Atlantis users are now already used to the INS combination to change this.)

AltGr is meant for inserting national characters.

As you probably know, you can customize the hot keys through the "Tools | Customize | Hot Keys..." menu command of Atlantis.

Thanks! I totally overlooked that customization option, probably one of the most valuable.

By the way: in the shortcut key dialogue, if you press e.g. ALTGR+INS or ALTGR+V, the dialogue *does* interpret this as ALT+CTRL and assigns the keys accordingly

However, if you try this in the programme itself, it doesn't (unlike my experience with other programmes, where pressing ALT+GR in combination with another key *will* have the same effect as pressing CTRL+ALT).
