I still find this very difficult. I want the buttons for calculate and sort a >z and z > a to appear on the main command set toolbar .. how exactly do I do it. I tried dragging in customize but does not work for me thanks

I still hope ultimately at least you will reconsider ,
especially about my main problem which is the extra step involved to make a calculation and the
unnecessary adding of the result to the clipboard.
If you want to be consistent please consider
reinstating the paste result directly to document ...

And which looks nicer, an rtf document or a spreadsheet? So in other words there is no
technical reason for your decision, you are just going on arbitrary application boundaries that are
some sort of received wisdom. It is disappointing because there are more uses for numbers in a non spreadsheet ...
