What happened to my topic response?

I have the computer setup to open a new file on startup, but it opens the last existing file instead, I want to change that.

I think you missed my reply to your previous message: both boxes are correctly checked or unchecked, as you stated.

It is checked.

I don't know what that means.

I have a shortcut to the application on my desktop, that's all.

I have that box UNchecked, is it supposed to be checked to stop opening existing docs?

I've just installed Atlantis on a new machine and haven't used it in quite a while. I seem to remember a setting whereby it opens a new new document, rather than the last one when I start Atlantis, but can't find that in any of the menus. Did I miss something?

version 1.6.5.12 always opens the most recently opened file even though I've set Tools/Options/General to open a new doc.

It turns out that there was no dictionary/spell checker installed when I upgraded. I may have mistakenly unchecked the box when installing.

I want to use the auto spellcheck for my language, but all of the text is underlined with the zigzag lines, not just misspelled words. The only choice I found in a search is to turn off the language choice (none).

How to I use spellcheck so it works properly.

I've checked all the above, I went through each step as described and I have full administrator rights, "show hidden files" is marked, and the file's Properties is not checked "Read Only", no one but me uses this computer and I've only had it for two weeks and it's ...

The funny thing is that I can't view the file in Windows Explorer or any other program. I tried using LockHunter and it doesn't find the file. There are more than just this one that show as locked in Atlantis, but only in Atlantis.

My standard template file is marked with a "lock" on it's icon and I can't change it nor can I find out how to unlock it or delete it.

I'm getting .doc and .rtf files from Word that can't be opened in Atlantis v1.6.1.9. The file contains text and images. What can I do to open these files? Is there a better file format to use coming out of Word?

However, you seem to be assuming that I only have 2 columns, in fact, I have 8. Will that process work for that many columns?

I have some files that contain data that was originally columnized, but not with "Columns", just spaced so that subsequent lines had entries under each header - like a spreadsheet.

Is there any easy way to return that text formatting to give columns? The text is a list of parts along with their ...

How do I set page margins, etc. for a "new document at startup" when that option is selected in Tool/Options? Or can I select a Template to open automatically at startup?

I don't know how to explain it simpler: the print is not properly within the set margins - it is offset toward the top and the text is wider than the margins. It's almost as if the margins don't exist.

I should add that pages setup the same way print correctly from Photoshop.

Is there any way to set a custom page size? I'm printing a custom photo book with pages 12x13 inches and it looks like I'll have to set up the printing in Photoshop instead of Atlantis.

I saw the same question from 2002 - it's still not available? This seems like a pretty basic function to me.
