Wonderful, that solved my problem; standard rtf documents now begin with the <none> dictionary that only has my selected corrections. Much appreciated.

I like using autocorrect to do a very few things, like change a -- to a —. or Bronte to Brontë, but most of the corrections used I would prefer not to trigger.
