Has anyone used Skydrive as a backup for Atlantis files?

I find that works with new documents, but not with existing docs.

Tried a different approach and it worked.

I have a novel with includes in excess of 100,000 beginning and ending straight quotes.

A publisher is interested in the novel, but has requested I change the quote style to smart or curly quotes.

I've tried every technique I can think of, but none worked. I'm somewhat reluctant to manually ...

I am negotiating with a publisher who absolutely requires that my word processor includes a track changes feature. (As does Word.)

It's easy enough to guess what they want and why. Does Atlantis contain such a feature?

I cannot remember when I last used a Footer. Therefore they waste space, which in documents of 400+ pages, amounts to a lot. (That's got my beef out of the way.)

You are correct Robert. I discovered my error just after I posted.

Apparently the driver for the touch pad (used when I reconfigured the notebook) was corrupt and was not displayed in the Control Panel.

Spent much time over the weekend testing this latest beta.

Unfortunately there are just too many anomalies to fir comfortably with the way I work. 1.5.6.8 might be great for some, but it's definitely not for me.

The final straw was not being able to uninstall it through Control Panel or a 3rd ...

File associations are not available with Atlantis installed on a removable drive?

Why?

From my point of view, that makes installation on a removable drive unworkable.

Serious rethink needed here guys.

For similar reasons, I very much agree with Rob.

Current arrangement is clumsy.

It's early days yet, but I'm delighted with the changes to installing to a removable drive.

I use a Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex USB device, 500GB for writing and storing backups of novels.

With Atlantis installed and being able to switch between computers has to date been a dream.

That doesn't work. Well, it does exactly what you say, but that's unsatisfactory.

Have you ever needed to edit/revise, for example, a long technical paper or a novel? If you have you'll be aware that such revision works better if you can view in context what you are editing.
