Is <b>Ctrl+V</b> now also working? If not, is it working with factory settings? If it is working with factory settings, maybe you inadvertently changed the hot key assigned to the <b>Edit | Paste</b>

Most likely, reinstalling would not help. Unless you have a highly customized installation. On the other hand, you could try running Atlantis with its default settings ( Tools | Factory Settings… > Launch a test copy of Atlantis with factory settings ).

1. Almost always Atlantis will fail to honour Ctrl-V to paste; will only do it occasionally. I have to use my clipboard tool (Ditto) to paste most of the time. It used to work.

I am not sure that your question has anything to do with Atlantis Word Processor. As I understand, you cannot paste formatted text to other text editors in your system as well.

Possibly the problem is with your "Web EMail service" or your Web browser.

When it is installed on a hard drive and launched from it, Atlantis uses the configuration parameters that it stores in the Windows registry.
If you want to use a specific INI file, you have to direct Atlantis to it. This can be done in two different ways:

I re-installed XP yesterday. I kept the .INI file from the old installation.

I put atlantis.ini in the new Atlantis directory, but it will not take. It seems I have to go through the long process of setting all my parameters anew!

However, I would have thought that a URL would in any case have to be a whole word to be valid (I don't think spaces are permitted).

The "Treat internet addresses as words" option allows to select Internet addresses as ordinary words. For example, when this option is on, you could quickly select an Internet address by double-clicking it.

You might wish to adjust the "Default formatting for hyperlinks" settings on the "Edit" tab ...

Internet addresses, which I had hoped to keep as words were being printed in blue despite my having set >Tools >Options >Edit to 'Treat internet addresses as words'.

I have had to resort to subterfuge: in the same window I set the hypherlinks colour to black !
